Durbanville Wine Route

The Durbanville Wine Valley was one of the earliest farming areas. The original estates were granted in 1698. A number of the farms are still run by families who have owned the land for many generations, some families have been making wine for six generations. Each winery has its own charm and country elegance through the collection of wines they produce and the culinary experiences they have on offer.
The 12 wine farms are: Altydgedacht, Bloemendal, D’Aria, Diemersdal, De Grendel, Durbanville Hills, Hillcrest, Klein Roosboom, Meerendal, Nitida, Phizante Kraal wines and Signal Gun.
The CapeTown Ostrich Ranch is not just about the big birds, they also have crocodiles, tortoises and cheetahs. Guided tours. A Microbrewery on site that includes craft gin and tonic; restaurant and curio shop with a selection of quality ostrich and other leather products and crystals(precious stones).
