Starting from the parking lot (approx. 440m/1445ft) near the dam onto a boardwalk which leads around the Silvermine dam. Take a moment for photos and time to take in the serene beauty of this beautiful still body of water, surrounded by picnic spots, trees, a couple of Egyptian geese, and happy human swimmers before we swing right to join a jeep-track that heads up in the general direction of the mast on Constantiaberg (928m/3045ft).
The walkway begins at Surfer’s corner at Muizenberg Beach which is considered to be the birthplace of surfing in South Africa and is currently home to a surfing community.
Also called Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve or Cape Peninsula Tour.
Drive via Hout Bay over Chapmans Peak Drive, stopping along the way for photos and to enjoy the spectacular views. Our first stop will be at Boulders at the Boulders Penguin Colony, an endangered land based colony of African penguins, one of the few in the world.
